FIBA is the world governing body for basketball, headquartered in Geneva and represented by 213 National Federations of Basketball throughout the world. It is the only basketball authority recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Global Brands Group (GBG) has been appointed as FIBA’s exclusive master licensee and licensing representative for all FIBA intellectual property in key product categories. Additionally, GBG has been granted the rights to manage FIBA’s premium programme, and establish and operate FIBA branded stores, cafes and sports centres or facilities.

The FIBA brand licensing programme encompasses specific event and permanent retail merchandise concepts and speaks to the core FIBA fan, defined as young men and women aged 15-24 years. Key events include the FIBA World Championships and the FIBA Continental Championships.
